With upwards of fifty employees, Valorēs is an essential source of innovation for businesses and communities.
Our commitment to sustainability leads us to develop creative outlets for your by-products that could be of value to other industries. This approach minimizes residues, decreases the impact on the environment, and generates new sources of income.
Finally, Valorēs offers career opportunity for scientists. We regularly host internship students and are always on the lookout for new talent.
The Coastal Zones Research Institute was created in 2002 from the merger of three research and development centres on the Acadian Peninsula in New Brunswick: The Peat Research and Development Center, the Research and Development Center for marine products and the research component of the New Brunswick Aquarium and Marine Center. Since then, the Institute has grown remarkably and has carved out a respectable niche in the industry.
In 2014, the Institute embarked on a new phase of development by adopting an institutional strategy to enrich its marketing capacities and guide its growth activities.
In 2018, the Coastal Research Institute becomes Valorēs, a simpler name to remember that reflects the nature of our operations. Our slogan "Science at Work" emphasizes our role as a research partner.
